The Mentoring Partnership of Minnesota is now MENTOR Minnesota!

Dear Friends,

It is with great excitement that the Mentoring Partnership of Minnesota announces our brand refresh to showcase how we have evolved as an organization over the past 22 years. The Mentoring Partnership of Minnesota is now doing business as MENTOR Minnesota in an effort to better reflect our affiliation with our national organization, MENTOR: The National Mentoring Partnership. The brand refresh will unite the MENTOR affiliate network, provide consistency, increase brand awareness and ultimately grow the mentoring movement into a leading cause category. Our ability to speak with one voice and identity will secure more mentors for young people and bring us closer to narrowing the mentoring gap. Uniting as a network provides the added benefit of shared mentoring resources and best practices.

Our mission, “To build and elevate the capacity of programs, systems and policies to strengthen youth mentoring relationships,” is central to the refresh because it speaks to the work we do on behalf of and with our network of 200 youth mentoring programs in Minnesota. In addition to our work on the state and local levels, MENTOR Minnesota contributes to the mentoring movement on the national level as one of 26 affiliates. Along with the name change, our new logo represents the “heart” of what we do as an organization; providing the building blocks for quality mentoring to ensure that mentoring remains an essential strategy to support generations of young people.

The work we set out to achieve 22 years ago still remains our focus. We’ll continue to bring you the latest research and evidence on best practices, high-quality training and technical assistance, relevant and timely thought leadership, and tenacious advocacy to bring more awareness and resources to the power of mentoring.

We are committed to strengthening the mentoring field and look forward to working in partnership with you as MENTOR Minnesota!

Warm regards,

Mai-Anh Kapanke
Executive Director, MENTOR Minnesota
